Membership

To maintain a level of transparency and to forge trust with clients, we have created membership levels based on the skills, experience and capabilities of the photographer. Each applicant is evaluated by at least three (3) of the main board members to ensure fairness at all times.

Members will be listed on the website which will be updated yearly.

To join this organization there are requirements and standards that have to be met.

PNBPP Levels

Amateur

  • Under 1 year experience specifically in newborn photography
  • No formal hands on training (video training only)
  • Certified Newborn and Baby First Aid Trained by Early Intervention Management certificate required to be presented
  • Passed the Safety Training Test

Novice

  • Under 2 years experience specifically in newborn photography
  • No formal hands on training (video training only)
  • Certified Newborn and Baby First Aid Trained by Early Intervention Management certificate required to be presented
  • Passed the Safety Training Test
  • Business Registered with BIR/DTI/SEC (paperwork to be presented and needs to be up to date)

Experienced

  • Over 2 years experience and under 5 years of experience specifically in newborn and baby photography
  • Formal hands on 2 day training with a Credible Professional Newborn Expert from any of the following countries: USA, UK, Australia who is a member of a professional organization there and conducts workshops in different countries. *Half day or one day workshops do not count as full workshops. Certain considerations will be made for those who have exemplary portfolios and tenure in lieu of this.
  • Certified Newborn and Baby First Aid Trained by Early Intervention Management certificate required to be presented
  • Passed the Safety Training Test
  • Business Registered with BIR/DTI/SEC (paperwork to be presented and needs to be up to date)
  • Portfolio review by the board of Experts
  • Passed a live review of a newborn shoot by a minimum of 2 board members with demonstration of proper safety techniques in posing newborns

Expert

  • Over 2 years experience and under 5 years of experience specifically in newborn and baby photography
  • Formal hands on 2 day training with a Credible Professional Newborn Expert from any of the following countries: USA, UK, Australia who is a member of a professional organization there and conducts workshops in different countries. *Half day or one day workshops do not count as full workshops. Certain considerations will be made for those who have exemplary portfolios and tenure in lieu of this.
  • Certified Newborn and Baby First Aid Trained by Early Intervention Management certificate required to be presented
  • Passed the Safety Training Test
  • Business Registered with BIR/DTI/SEC (paperwork to be presented and needs to be up to date)
  • Award Winning Work from a Credible Professional Photography Body such as PPA, WPPI, AIPP and BIPP (online photo contests are not accepted).

Highly Recommended Additional Credentials

  • Fully Vaccinated for MMR and Pertussis (whooping cough) and updated yearly
  • Liability Insurance with extended coverage
